For the first three months of 2020, most of the YWAM Nanaimo staff, including Mike & I, took a course known as the Biblical Core Course (BCC).  We took this so that we can run it at our base in the future.

I’ve seen the results in the lives of people who have taken this course – this is what encouraged me to do it even though I was less than enthusiastic at the beginning.  I had no idea I would love it as much as I did.  I am so thankful that I had this opportunity.  I’ve already learned so much, and it has been energizing for me to learn in a classroom setting.

Now, this course is a small chunk of a much longer one known as the School of Biblical Studies (SBS).  The SBS has been made available online, especially for people who would like to take it AND continue doing their regular missions work.  Because I loved the course and learned so much, and because I am interested in staffing the BCC in the future, I decided back in February that I would like to continue with the SBS online.

I’m anticipating that it will take me about 2 years to complete (although I’ll get more of head start over the next weeks/months than I had planned, given that the current state of the world is ideal for staying at home and doing homework).

This course is going to cost about $2400, including a few books that I would like to purchase.

I know that many people are having financial hardship right now, so I am not necessarily expecting an immediate response, but I would like to ask you to consider:

• sponsoring a book ($90, $60, or $50)
• sponsoring a module ($180)
• making a monthly contribution towards the module costs (approximate total cost $90/month)
